Meditation apps that stay calm and keep people coming back.

We design and build meditation, mindfulness, wellness and mental health apps for iOS and Android, with guided audio that plays smoothly on any connection, sleep content, journals, reminders and subscriptions, and privacy designed in from the start. Kepasa Harmony, a meditation and mental wellness app, was built this way.

Who our meditation and wellness apps are for

Founders launching a wellness app

Get a focused first version in front of users, with a library, a daily practice and a subscription, then grow it around what people come back for.

Coaches and wellness brands

Turn your programmes, sessions and courses into an app your clients open every day, under your own brand.

Teams with a wellness app that needs work

Audio that stutters, subscriptions that misbehave or a design that feels dated. We review the app and fix what's holding it back.

What you get

Results you can feel, not just deliverables

01

Audio that never stutters

Sessions stream quickly on mobile networks, and people can download favourites for bedtime and travel.

02

Habits that stick

Reminders at the time each person chooses, and streaks and progress that encourage people rather than make them feel they've failed.

03

Subscriptions that work

Free trials, renewals, cancellations and what each person has paid for, handled properly on both app stores.

04

Privacy by design

Personal reflections encrypted, only the data you need collected, and easy ways for people to export or delete theirs.

What people expect from a meditation app

The best meditation and wellness apps feel effortless, and that takes careful work underneath. People expect:

  • A guided library organised around what they’re going through, like stress, anxiety, sleep or self-esteem, rather than by session length.
  • Sleep content such as sleep stories and calming audio, which gives people a reason to open the app every night.
  • Short daily practices, like affirmations or a one-minute exercise, for days without twenty minutes to spare.
  • Help in hard moments, in a section that’s easy to reach quickly.
  • A journal and visible progress that feel encouraging, never like a test they can fail.
  • Reminders that fit their day, at a time each person chooses.

What we’ve built

Kepasa Harmony is a meditation and mental wellness app for iOS and Android, built with FlutterFlow and Firebase. It brings together guided meditations for anxiety, stress and self-esteem, bilateral music, professionally narrated sleep stories, affirmations, panic-attack support and a mindfulness journal, with a premium subscription and a free trial.

MentorHER Rising is a personal-growth app and website for women, with a guided 30-day challenge, habit tracking, a private journal, a supportive community and mentoring memberships. It’s designed so that a missed day never costs anyone their progress.

Audio, subscriptions and privacy

Three parts decide whether a wellness app feels trustworthy:

  • Audio. It is the product, so it has to start quickly and never stutter. We stream sessions in sizes that suit mobile networks and let people download their favourites.
  • Subscriptions. Trials, renewals, cancellations and refunds work differently on the App Store and Google Play. We plan what each person is entitled to before building the paywall.
  • Privacy. People share their moods and private thoughts. We encrypt personal reflections, collect only what the app needs and give people simple ways to export or delete their data.

Our guide to how to build a meditation app goes into each of these in more detail.

A sensible first release

You don’t need every feature on day one. A strong first version has a focused library for the problems your audience cares about most, sleep content and one quick daily practice, simple progress tracking with a reminder, and a subscription with a free trial and clear privacy controls. Community features, deeper personalisation and more content can follow once you know what people come back for.

Process

How we build meditation and wellness apps.

  1. Discover

We agree who the app is for, what they are going through, and the smallest library and daily practice worth launching.

  2. Design

Calm, simple screens and a clickable prototype, so you can try the whole journey from first session to subscription before it is built.

  3. Build

The app, audio delivery, subscriptions and the Firebase backend. You install test builds on your own phone as it takes shape.

  4. Launch & grow

App Store and Google Play submission, then new content and features based on what people actually use.

FAQ

Meditation & Wellness App Development: questions, answered.

Straight answers to what people usually ask before we start working together.

Still curious? Ask us anything
How much does it cost to build a meditation app?

It depends mostly on the size of the first release, such as how big the library is, whether you need a journal or community features, and how subscriptions work. After a free discovery call we send a written proposal with a clear scope and price. Starting with a focused first version keeps it affordable.

How long does it take to build a meditation app?

A focused first version typically takes a few months from kickoff to store launch, and larger products take longer. You'll get a timeline in the proposal, and you can install test builds on your phone throughout the project.

Should a meditation app be built in FlutterFlow or Flutter?

For a content-led app with standard screens, FlutterFlow with Firebase is quick to build and easy to keep updating. Kepasa Harmony was built that way. A fully custom Flutter build makes sense when the app depends on unusual audio features or heavy real-time features. We'll recommend one after discovery.

Do you create the meditations and audio?

We build the app and everything that delivers your content, from the library and streaming to downloads and the way your team adds new sessions. The meditations, narration and music usually come from you or the professionals you work with.

Do you build mental health apps?

Yes, for wellbeing and self-help, with guided exercises, journals, mood and progress tracking, reminders, and support that's easy to reach in hard moments, like Kepasa Harmony's panic-attack section. Apps that diagnose or treat a condition are regulated as medical devices in many countries, so for those, take regulatory advice first and we'll build to the requirements your advisers set.

Is a wellness app a medical device?

Usually not, as long as it describes what it offers rather than what it cures. If your app makes medical claims or targets a medical condition, regulators may treat it as a medical device, so take advice before you write that copy, and involve qualified professionals in sensitive content such as anything for anxiety or panic.

Who owns the app?

You do. Once the project is complete and all payments are settled, full ownership of the code is transferred to you. Your Firebase project is yours too.
