The Meta VR High-Rise Architectural Tour showcases a fully immersive and photorealistic VR environment that brings an architectural project to life. The high-rise model was designed in Blender with VR-optimized textures and materials, then integrated and enhanced in Unity 6 to ensure seamless performance on Meta Quest 3 hardware. This project combines interactive exploration through teleportation and walk-around navigation with animated construction sequences that vividly demonstrate the building’s assembly process. To enhance usability, a fixed entry point, reset functionality, and an intuitive UI navigation guide were added, while background music enriches the immersive atmosphere. Supporting elements like a custom splash screen, app icon, and an introduction video ensure the application is both professional and presentation-ready, making it highly effective for stakeholder demonstrations and architectural marketing.

The challenge

The main challenge was balancing photorealism with the performance limitations of standalone VR hardware.

3 problems we had to solve, from performance, interaction and design.

  1. 01 / 03Performance

    Detail without dropped frames

Achieving detailed textures and high-quality lighting while maintaining smooth performance required extensive optimization of geometry, textures, and draw calls.

  2. 02 / 03Interaction

    Comfortable navigation

Designing intuitive VR navigation that felt natural for users while preventing motion discomfort was another complex aspect.

  3. 03 / 03Design

    Every feature in step

Integrating interactive features—such as reset functionality, UI navigation guides, and synchronized construction animations—demanded careful coordination between design, programming, and performance optimization to deliver a seamless and professional experience.

  4. 3 of 3 solved

Got a problem like these? We’d like to hear about it.
